Four minutes later, USF jumped on top by two. as Viens fed Aubrey Macgrath on a give-and-go before Macgrath got an unexposed look at goal.

The Bulls used two goals from penalty kicks, both from Andrea Hauksdottir, early in the second half to jump ahead 4-0.

The Mustangs got a goal back in the 58th minute. Courtney Sebazco fired a free kick in from long distance. The USF keeper laid out in an attempt to save exposing the goal. After hitting the crossbar, the ball bounced right on the goal line where Celiana Torres was able to head it into goal, for her sixth of the season.

Viens would break the USF single-season goal record in the 86th minute on the game's final score.

SMU was even with USF in corners on the contest, 4-4, and were outshot, 22-13. The game featured 32 fouls with 14 committed against SMU.

The game was pushed from its original 12:00 p.m. CT start time due to a travel delay.
