Ready for men's soccer

While we're all getting ready for the return of football to the campus this fall, keep in mind that SMU just might have the best men's soccer team in the nation over the next two seasons. The Mustangs have probably the best coach in the nation, and may have the most talented roster in the country, too. (Of course, without some luck and good health, superior talent doesn't always mean a national championship — see the Dallas Stars, for example.) They have at least two players (Carl Bussey-U.S. and Mohammed Fahim-Egypt) who are considered National Team-quality players, and several more who likely will make a living playing professional soccer, either in MLS or overseas. To top it off, they are YOUNG - all of their top players have at least one more year (after this season). If we're not pre-season No. 1 this year, we almost certainly will be next year.

Good luck to Coach Hyndman and the Mustangs!
