Rowing Claims Three Runner-Up Finishes At Tulsa-UCO Invitational
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (SMU) – The SMU rowing team raced to three runner-up finishes at the Tulsa-UCO Invitational Saturday.
SMU's Varsity 8+ finished just four seconds behind Tulsa in the 4k event on the North Canadian River, posting a 14:06.51, while Tulsa earned the win with a 14:02.35. Racing the course for the second time this season, the Mustangs shaved more than 30 seconds off their previous time, earning bronze at the Head of the Oklahoma.
The SMU 2V8+ finished fourth with a time of 14:34.99, making SMU the only program with multiple boats in the top five of the event. The Varsity 4+ crew also earned a second-place finish, coming in after Tulsa with a 15:38.63.
