Tara Comfort and Jill Heinemann scored two goals apiece to lead the Mustangs (11-3) to a 6-1 romp over Tulsa.

"That's just what we needed," SMU head coach George Van Linder said of the outburst. "We've been waiting for a game like that."

The Mustangs were without starting goalkeeper Erin McLeod, who sat out the game after being ejected from Sunday's 3-1 win at Hawaii.

Comfort dominated the offensive end of the field for the Ponies, a result Van Linder credits to Comfort's switch from forward to midfield.

"She was playing well at forward, and we were winning, but she didn't look great there," Van Linder said. "It looks like we put her at the right position at outside midfield."
