Miller Sets School 3000 Meter Record At Music City Challenge

Nashville, Tenn. (SMU) – Hannah Miller set a school record in the 3000m as Mustangs completed competition at the Music City Challenge.

Miller came into the event already holding the school's best mark in the 3000m at 9:26.62. The junior ran a blistering 9:21.44 to win the event and improve on her school record. Miller's time is the best in conference this season.

Svenja Ojstersek finished not far behind Miller with a 9:28.03, a personal best and the second fastest mark in program history. Anneke Grogan ran a 10:03.96 in the event.

Senior Robin Montemayor set a pair of PRs over the weekend in both the 5000m and the mile. Montemayor ran a 18:03.72 in the 5000m on Friday before running a 5:17.88 in Saturday's mile.

Kennedy Godsey also had a PR for her performance in the weight throw. In the 60m, Alexis Center and Jordanae Scott had strong showings just missing qualifying for the finals.

Up next, the Mustangs will have a one-weekend break before they head to Birmingham for the American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship.
