Kulicke, Meissner Named To Google Cloud Academic All-District

DALLAS (SMU) – Mustangs Vivienne Kulicke of women's tennis and Mac Meissner of men's golf were named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams as announced by CoSIDA.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. Their selection advances them to the Google Cloud All-America ballot with the All-America honorees announced in June.

Sophomore Mac Meissner most recently won the American Athletic Conference Championship individual title, setting the AAC Championship three-round record and was named Player of the Year by the AAC garnering a unanimous selection to the All-Conference Team. Meissner also earned AAC Freshman of the Year in 2018 and a slot on the All-Conference team. Meissner has made two appearances at the NCAA Regional, as an individual his freshman year and as a team this season. The sophomore helped the Mustangs advance to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship in Fayeteville, Ark., taking place May 24-29. Meissner is working towards a degree in Finance and holds a 4.0 GPA.

Vivienne Kulicke joined the Mustangs for her senior year, after starting her career at SFA and UTEP. Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Kulicke was ranked as high as No. 102 in the ITA Rankings and has a 25-8 singles record, including 14 dual match victories and a 19-11 doubles record. Kulicke added an All-Conference award to her list of accomplishments in her final season while, finishing her career on a five-match winning streak. She earned degrees in Business Management and Spanish in December 2019 and holds a 4.0 GPA.
