Chappell Named All-American Scholar
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (SMU/WGCA) – Sophomore Lauren Chappell was named to the 2018-19 All-American Scholar Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Monday.
Chappell was among 1,097 recognized, with the minimum required GPA to earn this accolade is a 3.50. This is the second time she has been named an All-American scholar earning the distinction as a freshman.
The sophomore logged a 75.45 scoring average with a T-12 finish at the American Athletic Conference Championships. She also recorded a top-10 finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, in the Mustangs lone win of the season.
