Diego Walsh named preseason All-America by Soccer America
Senior Midfielder Earned All-America Status in 2001
Senior midfielder Diego Walsh (Miami, Fla.) is one of 11 players selected by Soccer America as a 2002 preseason All-America. Walsh, a 2001 NSCAA All-America first team selection, recorded 10 goals and 11 assists last season, helping the Mustangs to a 21-1 record.
SMU opens the 2002 campaign with a contest against UT-Dallas Friday, Aug. 30, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Westcott Field on the campus of SMU. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children. SMU students, faculty and staff are admitted free by showing their current SMU identification card.
