DALLAS (SMU) – The Mustangs added another win on Thursday night as junior Hannah Allred led [RV] SMU's offensive efforts, scoring both goals in the 2-0 victory over Rice.

Allred alone outshot Rice (3-3-0) with nine to the Owls' six. Sophomore Courtney Sebazco added four shots of her own and juniors Isabelle Nashmi and Ale Winn both had two. Six other Mustangs had one shot, totaling 23 for SMU (5-1-0). Of those, seven were on goal.

The first goal came in the 11th minute when Allred found the back of the net on an assist from freshman Wayny Balata. Her second came just 15 seconds into the second half when sophomore Celiana Torres made a pass to find Allred open at the top of the box.

The Mustang defense held strong to allow only two shots on goal for the Owls and kept possession in SMU's favor for approximately 66 percent of the match.

SMU will play at Westcott Field on Sunday in its last match of the homestand versus Long Beach State at 1 p.m. CT.
