Saturday's game was bad news/good news. First, the final score was 18 to 6. The team appeared rusty after Springbreak combined with demands of pledges going active. Texas had a game earlier in the week. Our lack of crisp passing was Texas' strength.

Good news: The game was played at Westcott thanks to administration being asked and supporting this venue. Great fan turnout, despite rain in second half. The fans were banging their feet on the metal stands after each score. The team was impressed by the support. Even Texas was surprised by the enthusiasm. It was 8 to 5 at the half and still close near the end of third quarter. The 4th quarter got out of control with Texas piling on.

We have two or three more games before the Tournament, which we have qualified for. I hope for a good rematch with both A&M and Texas. The team knows what it needs to do. Good luck, we have come a long way with more to come. We are heading in the right direction. Go ponies.
