Wednesday's DMN reported that Bussey got waived by the Dallas Burn so they could sign some South African guy.

I hope the Columbus Mustangs (or "Crew") adds him to the roster, where he could join Tom Presthus, Luchi Gonzalez and Diego Walsh. I'm going to see that team when they come to Dallas.

Only Diego seems to have a pretty certain future with the MLS... good luck to Luchi with Bodens BK! Overseas experience will surely help him further develop his unbelievable talent.

Luchi is playing overseas? Nice of SMU to publicize one of its own securing an international contract. Where is Bodens BK? What league are they in?
Good luck to Luchi, and all the Ponies in MLS.

That's a shame about Carl - I never thought he really got a fair shake with the Burn. Hopefully he'll latch on with a team that he gets a legitimate chance.

That stinks - I love watching Bussey play. Hope he catches on somewhere so I can see him on MLS satellite TV.

Here's the article:

2001 Hermann Trophy winner and MAC Award winner Luchi Gonzalez has signed with Second Division Swedish club Bodens BK. The former SMU star was the sixth overall pick in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft. He played eight games for the San Jose Earthquakes in 2002 and was waived in the offseason. He had joined the Columbus Crew for the 2003 MLS preseason.

Bodens kicks off its season April 13 against FC Cafe Opera. Gonzalez, 22, is a native of Miami, Fla.

And here is Luchi's roster page: <A HREF="http://www.bodensbk.bd.se/fotboll/alag/16.shtml" TARGET=_blank>http://www.bodensbk.bd.se/fotboll/alag/16.shtml</A>

Hope you can read Swedish.

All I can make out of that is that Conan OBrien is his favorite TV show. He really needs to spend more time enjoying the sights in Sweden, if that's what he chooses to do with his evenings.
Good luck, Luchi!@
