Lily Heim Named All-American By VolleyMag.com

DALLAS (SMU) – Lily Heim was selected to the VolleyMag.com All-America team as an Honorable Mention award winner. The sophomore setter finished the season eighth in the NCAA with 11.6 assists per set.

Heim became the second player in program history to be named conference Setter of the Year. She finished second in the league individually, and directed SMU to marks of fourth in the American Athletic Conference in hitting percentage, .229, and second in kills, 14.2 per set, which was 17th in the nation.

The Omaha, Nebraska, native posted a career-high 63 assists in four sets at Wichita State, and eclipsed 50 in a match 10 times this season, including five four-set matches. Heim averaged 2.96 digs per set, and had 16 double-doubles. She tallied a career-high 22 digs at ECU, and had 20 at Wichita State.

Heim's 1,230 assists ranked 31st in the NCAA this season, and 12th all-time in a season at SMU. Her efforts aided in outside hitters Rachel Woulfe and Hannah Jacobs earning all-conference accolades, as the duo averaged 3.01 and 3.38 kills per set, respectively.

The Mustangs won the American Athletic Conference West Division championship, going 11-5 in league matches and 18-10 overall.
