He played well enough to make the cut the first two days, and then fell apart. Which is unusual for him. Day 3 is usually his best day. Maybe he's still getting used to the new wrist.

Kelly, Austin & Harry all playing the Travelers in CT this week. Purse still strong at $8 mil plus and pretty good field considering this event gets the week after the U.S. Open

Harry fires a 6 under 2nd round at The Travelers and is T-24th at minus 5 while Kelly is T-59th at minus 2 and both will be playing the weekend. Austin missed the cut by 3 strokes at plus 1 after a disappointing plus 3 2nd round. Harry had a 5 under 30 on the front nine that he played as his back nine today knowing he had to go low. Pretty impressive especially considering he played that nine one over yesterday

Harry and Kelly both even par today with 3 birdies and 3 bogeys on their cards. Harry is thru 14 holes and Kelly finished so both losing ground to the field today

Harry bogeys 3 of his last 4 holes today to join Kelly at minus 2 after 54 holes. Every qualifier in this event is at even par or better and Harry & Kelly are among 7 guys tied for 60th heading into Sunday's final round

Kelly finishes at minus 2, T-56th and earned $19,007 while Harry struggled this weekend and finished plus 5 and T-70th but earned $17,098. Not a lot of difference in earnings once you fall below the top 50 finishers these days

Why am I feeling like Higgs is heading down some quasi Knost path? Out of shape and party on, Garth...I get the whole - I’ve got to be me - deal, but at what cost?

There's a lot of temptation on the tour from what I've been told. He needs to find that inner compass or get a steady girlfriend.

No question about the temptations on tour. I've got a close H.S. friend and former teammate who lives in Ponte Vedra and is close to Len Mattiace. Shortly after Len "almost" won both the Players and the Masters, finishing runner up in both, my friend was offered the job of traveling with Len on tour as his "business/PR manager" to help him manage his schedule and the demands on his time. Didn't take long for the wives to put an end to that arrangement but there are just too many cases of guys who lived fast and ended their careers prematurely.

Regardless, anyone who survives on tour as long as Harry has at least should have an opportunity to live a pretty comfortable life financially

Harry Higgs ranks 141 on Tour for 3rd round scoring average and 191 for the 4th round....cat needs to drop about 20 and start getting serious about this opportunity.

Kelly, Harry & Austin continuing the grind and are all playing the John Deere in Silvis, Illinois this week. Kelly has a morning start tomorrow while Harry and Austin play afternoon rounds. Plenty of top ranked players skipping this event so our guys might have an opportunity for a top 10/25 finish or maybe someone gets hot and actually gets a win (can always hope)

Kelly at minus one and both Harry & Austin at plus one after 1st round. Leader J.T. Poston at nine under. Probably need to be under par to make tomorrow's cut
