None of our Mutang golfers made the cut at the Honda

Harry got in only 6 holes and was plus one after Thursday's rain delay. Will be a grind today to make the cut and he's now plus 3 through 9 holes and T-132nd. Not looking good.

Harry's plus 5 opening round probably means he's headed home early this weekend

In case you missed it, Austin Smotherman finished 8 under and T-25th at the Valspar in Florida and earned $65,910 this past weekend. Harry Higgs was 5 under and T-39th earning $29,250 so it was a worthwhile trip

While Bryson tied his opening match in the WGC, Austin Smotherman and Kelly Kraft are continuing the grind and playing in the Dominican this week and competing in a field lacking most of the world's top 64 ranked golfers

Kelly had quite an adventure in his opening round at the Corales Puntacana Resort where he had 8 bogeys and 5 birdies before finishing plus 3 and is currently T-97th. Through 16 holes, Austin has 4 bogeys and a double vs only one birdie so it's not looking good for our guys this week. Course is playing tough with only 44 guys under par. Coastal breezes can get in your head.

At plus 1 and plus 6 it will be an early exit for Kelly and Austin, respectively. Meanwhile, Bryson loses to Talor Gooch and is 0-2-1 at the WGC. Have to wonder whether he is trying to play through injury

Bryson, Harry, Kelly & Austin all teeing it up at the Valero in San Antonio this week

1st round: Austin minus 4, Kelly even, Bryson plus one and Harry plus 4. There are 88 golfers at even par or better after the 1st round of play

Smotherman the only qualifier at the Valero and his final round one under leads to an even par finish, good for a T-61st finish and $19.092 bringing his season's earnings to $340,066 which is currently 145th on the money list

Harry Higgs and Bryson playing the Masters this week and Harry with a nice one under opening round is sitting at a T-10th with Tiger Woods. Bryson at plus 4 will be lucky to make the cut. Doesn't appear he is "right" either mentally or physically right now. Bryson played the par 5s plus one today whereas Harry played them 2 under

Harry made the cut.,23rd at 2 over. Bryson shot 80 and missed the cut.

Harry will be playing his final round at the Masters with Lee Westwood. Both players are at plus 3 and T-18th. Hopefully Harry can finish strong as the Top 12 finishers are invited to play again next year. Top 12 are currently at plus one

Harry playing an exciting final round. Double bogey on # 1 to start, then eagle on # 2, bogey # 6 and birdie # 7 to play the front nine even par. Birdies at # 13 and #15 have him right on the edge of that top 12 finish currently T-13th at plus one for the tournament
