One under 3rd round has Kelly at minus 6, T-30th and 9 shots back while Smotherman turns in a 4 over round moving him to plus 3 and last among the only 4 weekend qualifiers who are over par for this event. Austin finished bogey-bogey-double bogey to round out his 5 over 41 back nine after his 3 under 33 yesterday had helped him make the cut. No two days the same in this game.

After a double bogey opening hole, Austin Smotherman finishes with 5 birdies including 3 on his back nine to finish the tournament at even par, better than at least 3 other qualifiers. Just shows how mentally tough these guys have to be to make a living playing the tour. Nice to birdie that 72nd hole and earn a paycheck hopefully making the trip worthwhile.

Kelly Kraft with a roller coaster back nine today that included 5 birdies and 3 bogeys and a birdie on his 72nd hole that got him to 10 under which is currently T-15th. A good week for Kelly

Smotherman and Kraft make cut at Wells Fargo. Harry missed cut by one stroke. Once Bryson returns, Ponies will be well represented on PGA Tour !

Smotherman finishes T-25th and earns $69,150 while Kraft finishes T-49th, good for $23,490

This brings Austin to $443,419 and 157th on the money list

Kelly has earned $244,651 and ranks # 183

After missing the cut at the Wells Fargo event in Maryland, Harry still has $679,794 earnings for the season and fell from 120th to 124 on the money list

Next stop is the Byron Nelson where Austin and Harry will be competing

Austin, Harry & Kelly all competing at the Byron Nelson and only Austin at minus 4 looks to be in position to make the cut. Harry at even par and Kelly at plus one have work to do tomorrow.

Austin made the cut at minus 7, currently T-38th and 8 shots off the lead. Harry just missed the cut at minus 4 and Kelly missed by 4 shots so only one Mustang representing SMU this weekend

Austin Smotherman finishes 17 under which would have won many a tournament but not this week with guys tearing the course up. He finished T-25th, good for $68,445 so not a bad homecoming

By missing another cut, Harry Higgs has dropped from # 124 to # 128 on this season's money list and is now more than $37,000 from getting back into the top 125. Austin Smotherman is playing well, making cuts and has moved up to # 151 so he's closing in on a spot in the top 150 that would give him fully exempt status on the Korn Ferry Tour but he's more than $200k from the top 125 to qualify for exempt status on the regular PGA Tour. Kelly dropped to # 185

Harry is playing the PGA but his 1st round plus 4 has him (along with Tiger) at risk of missing the cut. Work to do tomorrow for a much needed paycheck

Harry Missed the cut by one stroke. Bryson withdrew. So I guess wrist isn't fully 100%. Higgs, Smotherman and Kraft have some work to do. One top 5 finish and they jump up the rankings. A win would be even better.
