Harry finishes at minus 12 despite a double bogey at # 16 and is T-11th but 10 shots off the current lead. Can still earn a top 10 finish with a good round tomorrow

Scottie Scheffler fires a 9 under 62 to finish minus 18 and is the leader in the clubhouse although he trails by 4 at the time of this writing. Some guys are closers. Harry was even on his front nine with 2 early bogeys and 2 birdies to get back to 12 under but will need to light up the back nine to sniff a Top 10 finish in this event.

Roller coaster round for Harry today with 5 birdies offset by 5 bogeys to finish the week at minus 12, T-32nd and good for $45,783 - a much needed paycheck to hopefully jumpstart his season

Kelly Kraft and Austin Smotherman playing in Houston this week and Kelly opens with a plus one round while Austin blows up to a 10 over 1st round with double bogeys at 14 & 15 and a triple at 17 on the Memorial Park course

Have to give Austin credit. After his 10 over opening round, he's playing again today and was even par on his front nine. Bogeyed # 10 and yesterday he played the back nine 8 over so we'll see if he can dig his way out of the cellar. Would have been easy to claim an injury and withdraw as I'm sure some guys would have done.

Meanwhile, Kelly is hovering at the cut line and went one under on the back nine (his starting nine today). He's bogeyed # 1 and is back at plus one which is currently the projected cut line. Probably needs to get to one under to play this weekend

Kelly finished plus 2 and missed the cut by 2 shots. Austin did not finish his second round and withdrew so I assume he has some kind of injury. Anyone know anything more?

Smotherman and Higgs slated to play in Georgia at Sea Island this week. Haven't seen anything about why Austin withdrew last week.

Higgs 1st round 5 under leads the SMU group this week. Austin is minus one and Kelly also playing and is even par after 1st round

And then there's Bryson trying to remain relevant in the professional golf world after he took the money and ran:

Simple question- how many on PF would refuse an offer of 150-200 mil to go to work for a new employer for 5 years?
I have watched some of the LIV golf on TV and find it refreshing compared to the PGA's staid and stuffy attitude. To each his own.

I'm sure Bryson will be back in good form. If not he can enjoy his money and do something else.

Exactly, plus with his style of play / approach to the game, i suspect the odds of him having a long and productive career are not great.

$150-200 Million to play golf for 5 years. 3/4 the number of rounds per week compared to PGA. And you get the money not only for your performance, but performance of teammates. Also you get paid just to show up each week. Where do I sign?
