Bryson got out early today before the wind started picking up. His 3 under 68 (that included a double bogey at 18) has him at minus one for the tourney and suddenly not too far out of contention. Leaders are at minus 6 but haven't teed off yet and will play in some tough wind conditions this afternoon

Mustang Austin Smotherman wins Korn Ferry event this weekend in Knoxville...moves into Top 20 and a big step closer to PGA Tour card.

132 players shot under par rounds at the Byron Nelson yesterday. Harry Higgs at minus 4, Bryson at minus 3 and Kelly Kraft at minus 1, with Kelly at risk of missing another cut and Bryson currently T-77th after his round and right at what would be the cut line.

Guys are tearing it up at the Nelson this week. Bryson makes the cut at minus 7 and is 10 shots off the lead. Harry just misses the cut at minus 5 and Kelly is not even close at plus 3

You'd think the tournament in Dallas would be the one they'd all play great. Golf is a trying sport.

Already a pair of 9 under 63's in today's 3rd round by Harris English and Scott Stallings. Bryson continues to struggle with a bogey and an early double to offset his 3 birdies. Certainly doesn't appear he will contend for another top 10 finish this week

BAD started 4th round of PGA in contention at T6, only 5 back, but faltered badly with a wayward driver and a 77. Young squire Harry Higgs continues to make a name for himself, finishing T4, with rounds of 72,71,73, and 70, playing his way into the Masters.

It's so cool to be able to watch a major championship with one rooting interest and even if that guy falters, we have another guy that is able to work his way into the competition too! Noah Goodwin, Ollie Osborne, and Mac Meisner have a chance to join them soon along with fellow pros Kelly Kraft and Austin Smotherman.

Harry Higgs is really coming on. His T-4th finish and $462k earnings from the PGA has his 2021 season earnings up to $1.5 million. In 19 starts, he's had 2 top 10 finishes (4th of his brief career in 44 starts) and this one against one of the strongest fields he's faced. Have to wonder when & where that 1st win will come

Had lead briefly on back nine and then fell to 26th with a horrid last 7 holes.

That near "bogey golf" back nine looked familiar to some of us

That was quite a back 9 meltdown by Bryson.
