Men's Golf Hosts Two Camps This Summer

The SMU men's golf program hosts two day camps this summer for golfers looking to improve their golf game and have fun.

The program hosts a golf camp for boys and girls ages 8+ from July 26-28 at Trinity Forest Golf Club, the Coore & Crenshaw-designed home course of the SMU golf programs. Participants will learn from the SMU coaches and Mustang golfers, past and present, plus experience the Payne Stewart SMU Golf Training Center, which includes a driving range, short course and short-game area. The golf camp costs $1,000, and space is limited.

The Elite Camp, designed for boys 14+, runs July 29-30 and costs $500. The elite camp is focused on the golfer who seeks to play competitively in college, and focused on improving his game to get there. Like the day camp, the elite camp takes place at Trinity Forest Golf Club and the Payne Stewart SMU Golf Training Center. Space is also limited, so interested participants are encouraged to sign up today.

The Mustangs are coming off a second-straight appearance at the NCAA Championships, tying for 17th. A perennial top-25 program, the Mustangs finished top-three in four of their eight tournaments in 2021, and won the 2021 Trinity Forest Invitational.

For questions about SMU golf camp, or to register for either one of the camps, please contact Brandon Wilkins (e-mail: bwilkins@smu.edu; phone: (817) 944-0575). The form for registration can be found here.

As per NCAA rules, camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
