Grant Chen's made tremendous progress in 4 seasons. Building a top 25 roster by focusing on American players was a contrarian move viewed with some skepticism around college tennis, and he's done it in a G5 league while carrying twice as many walk-ons (at least) as peer programs. Whatever happens in the NCAAs, just getting the bid is invaluable experience for a young roster with a lot of upside.

All in all, a pretty good draw. LSU is a favorable first round matchup, and UT looks very beatable this year. Those early season road wins against P5s will give them a lot to draw on. Hopefully fans will make the trip to Austin, too.
