No. 15 SMU Plays To 1-1 Tie At Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. (SMU) - No. 15 SMU and Oklahoma played to a 1-1 tie at John Crain Field on Sunday.

Jewel Boland put the Mustangs on the board in the 27th minute as she outraced the Sooners' defense and chipped the ball over goalkeeper Makinzie Short. Emma Hawkins scored for Oklahoma (1-2-2) to even the match at 1-1 in the 62nd minute. Hawkins headed the ball into the upper center of the goal from inside the six-yard box.

Samantha Estrada had five saves for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs (3-0-2) are undefeated through the first five matches for the first time since 2017.

The Mustangs host North Texas at Washburne Stadium on Thursday at 7 p.m.
