Feehery, Smithson Earn AAC Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas (The American/SMU)- Colin Feehery and Peter Smithson earned American Athletic Conference Honors, the league announced Tuesday. Feehery was named the men's Swimmer of the Week and Smithson earned Diver of the Week honors.
Feehery posted three NCAA B Cuts at the SMU Classic. The senior earned a B Standard in the 400 IM to lead the Mustangs in the event, covering the distance in 3:46.44 to finish third in the field. In the 100 backstroke, Feehery posted a time of 53.56. Additionally, Feehery earned fourth place in the 200 breaststroke, covering the distance in 1:57.56. Each B Standard was Feehery's fourth of his career.
Smithson picked up valuable points for the Mustangs, finishing in third place and hitting an NCAA Zone mark on 1 meter and 3 meter. Smithson scored a 312.10 on 1 and earned a 320.50 on 3 meter. Both Zone Standards marked the senior's fourth all-time.
