Stambo To Compete At Georgia Diving Invitational
Nicole Stambo will represent the SMU women's swimming and diving program at the Georgia Diving Invitational starting Tuesday. The three-day event is being held at the Gabrielsen Natatorium on the campus of the University of Georgia.
The event features competition from Georgia, Miami (Ohio), Tennessee, Minnesota, NC State, Virginia, South Carolina and Iowa State.
Stambo is coming off a successful dual against TCU, where she swept springboard action to help lead the Mustangs to a 158.5-139.5 win over their Metroplex rival. The senior won 1 meter with an NCAA Zone score of 268.95 and posted a 267.90 on 3 meter. For her performance, she was named the American Athletic Conference Diver of the week for the second time in 2022-23.
Stambo has NCAA qualifying scores in all three events this season and can represent SMU at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships March 7-9 in Minneapolis.
