Early morning start in Detroit because they are expecting weather to deteriorate today. Kelly turns his front nine even par and Harry plus one. So much for a strong finish.

Kelly plays his back nine 2 under and gets to minus 11 which should at least put him in the upper half of the leaderboard (in the clubhouse T-40th with 84 guys competing today). Harry gets one back on his back nine and finishes at minus 9, currently in the clubhouse T-51st

With most of the top players heading overseas to prepare for the Scottish and then The Open Championship, Kelly, Harry & Austin will continue grinding this week at the John Deere and I would assume they will play the Barbasol and then the Barracuda events for smaller purses but against less talented fields. Time for someone to break through and get a win?

Austin Smotherman currently sitting at # 128 on this year's money list and is almost $50 out of the Top 125. Harry is # 134 but over $100k out of the 125. Kelly isn't even on the radar with less than $300k earnings this season

Austin played his back nine 4 under at the John Deere and sits at 5 under and T-33rd while Harry is T-47th at 4 under. Kelly was at 3 under (current cut line) until making double bogey at 9 and then bogeys at 10 & 15 before finishing minus one and missing this week's cut.

Austin finishes minus 8, T-51st and earns $18.081 while Harry finishes minus 7, T-57th and earns $17,094. And the grind continues...

Harry, Kelly & Austin are all competing at the Barbasol in KY this week for a purse that will be half of what they played for in the John Deere in IL.

Harry's 1st round minus 4 has him 5 shots off the lead and T-24th while Kelly's minus one and Austin's plus 2 might have them going home early this week.

Austin is minus 7 today thru 14 holes in his quest to make this cut and get paid this week. Kelly is 2 under thru 8 and Harry plays this afternoon. Projected cut is minus 2 at the moment but that will change as only 2 morning players are over par. I would expect a cut line of minus 3 or 4 so guys need to keep grinding

Austin triple bogeys his 15th hole today and finishes 36 holes at minus 2 which means he probably misses the cut. Kelly fires a 4 under today and gets to 5 which is comfortably above the cut line. Harry bogeys # 3 and falls to minus 3 thru 4 holes today. Looks like the cut line (currently projected at minus 3) could move to minus 4 so he will have to play well the rest of the way to make the weekend.

Only Kelly survives the cut at minus 5. Harry blows up to a 43 back nine. Don't know whether that is due to some kind of injury or what might have happened but he finished with back to back double bogeys today

After Austin, Harry & Kelly all missed the cut this week, Austin sits at # 129 on the money list with $761,580 while Harry is at # 135 with $684,385 earned so far this season. Kelly is a distant # 185 with $285,504 earnings
