Look at his historical 4th round scoring average...love Harry, but dude is not in great shape, or at least does not appear to be. He is the antithesis of the modern day Tour player, fitness wise. I think that is why he seems to constantly fade.

Could be. Don't know if you've watched "Full Swing" on Netflix but yes, it looks like most of the top players on tour are taking their physical conditioning very seriously

BD failed to make cut at Masters by one stroke.

BD is pretty much irrelevant these days. What a sad turn of events.

Smotherman makes another cut at The Heritage and at 3 under is T-46th heading into the weekend. At 3 over Kelly is headed home early this week

Austin earns $41,600 for a one over T-67th finish proving once again how important it is to make cuts on the PGA Tour. 4th place paid $980,000!

Pretty unexpected to see Smotherman be SMU's most successful golfer these days. Hopefully Harry Higgs takes care of his fitness and BD starts performing well in majors as that is his only chance at relevance these days.

Both the Higgs/Smotherman and Tway/Kraft teams missed the cut at the Zurich Classic in New Orleans this week

Meanwhile, Mac Meissner who is 5th on the Korn Ferry Tour's money list fired a 12 under 59 in his 2nd round and sits in 2nd place at the LECOM Suncoast Classic

Austin fires an opening round 8 under and leads by 2 shots at the Mexico Open. Harry is T-63rd at one under and Kelly is T-113th at plus 2

Austin gave a great interview, post round, to the Golf Channel reporter. I ALWAYS love it when SMU athletes, or just SMU people in general speak - thoughtful, articulate, "cool"...makes me proud to be part of the Pony Family.

Austin is alone in 6th place at 12 under and within striking distance (7 shots off the lead) entering the final round in Mexico. Needs a strong finish but certainly in position to earn his 1st Top 10 finish this week

Smotherman's 4 under final round gets him to minus 16 for the week and T-5th earning him $284,900. Pretty good week in Mexico

Austin moved up to # 118 on the money list and ahead of Harry and that's huge but the season is young. He & Kelly are playing this week in Charlotte against a much stronger field than played in Mexico. Too early to say that Top 10 finish in Mexico was a career changer for Austin but let's see how he fares at Quail Hollow. He's definitely been playing well lately

Austin and Kelly flamed out in Charlotte last week and neither came close to making the cut, but they will try again this week at the Byron Nelson as will Harry Higgs. Hopefully one of the former Mustangs will get hot this week and make some noise
