Kearns Named Horsemanship Rider Of The Month
WACO, Texas (NCEA/SMU) - SMU's Nya Kearns was named the National Equestrian Association Horsemanship Rider of the Month for March, the NCEA announced Wednesday.
Kearns finished the regular season with an impressive performance against No. 4 Texas A&M, picking up a convincing 75.5-68.5 victory. She earned MOP honors for the third time this season. Kearns started out the month with a 78-74.5 road victory against Baylor. Kearns averaged a 76.75 and held over a five point margin of victory throughout the month. The junior is 9-2 on the year.
