Hadigian Wins Consolation Singles Final At ITA Regionals

FORT WORTH, Texas (SMU) – Eric Hadigian won five consecutive matches to take home the ITA Texas Regionals singles consolation championship on Monday at TCU's Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

Hadigian defeated Texas's Lucas Brown 6-2, 3-6, 11-9 in the tournament's consolation championship. Hadigian went on to advance past Rice's Emir Sendogan (6-1, 6-2) and Arthus De La Bassetiere (7-6(6), 7-6(3) in the bracket's quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.

Prior to the weekend's final rounds, Hadigian beat UTA's Dante Carlos Teramo (6-3, 3-0) and TCU's Tomas Jirousek (6-4, 6-4).

Maks Silagy and Jerry Barton teamed up in the doubles field, defeating Baylor's Ethan Muza and Ethan Braverman 8-3 to reach the tournament's round-of-16.

Barton also advanced to the singles round-of-32, defeating Texas Tech's Sebastian Abboud (6-3, 6-2) in his first singles match of the weekend.

Louis Cloud picked up a victory in the singles qualifying round over Abilene Christian's Dennis Dutine (7-6, 6-1, 6-1) to earn a spot in the tournament's main singles draw.

Cloud also teamed up with Kyle Sillman for a round-of-64 doubles win versus Rice's Santiago Navarro and Trinity Grear (8-6).
