Postby Water Pony » Tue Nov 14, 2023 12:53 pm

According to SwimSwam's November edition, SMU Men's Swimming and Diving program has been ranked No. 21 in their Power Rankings.

Our Mustangs (3-0), who currently compete this year in the Atlantic Sun Athletic Conference, also received votes in Swimming Worlds CSCAA Top 25 Rankings. It has been a while since we were getting national recognition.

This week our annual SMU Invite will host Drury, Hawaii, Yale, and BYU,

So you are suggesting things are going to get tougher for our Swimming & Diving programs?

Absolutely. :D

However, swimming and diving in a "bigger pool" is highly desirable in the absolute toughest conference which improves our recruiting profile, level of competition, and relevance.

Candidly, being the top half of the ACC is ambitious but a smaller fish in a bigger pond is how we get better.
