Soccer team got torched

Oregon State beat us 7-1 at home. Did we pull our goalie?

The score got skewed a little when the Mustangs threw more players forward in an effort to get an equalizer, or even to pull within one or two, which left their goalkeeper, the AAC Goalkeeper of the Year, as a sitting duck on a few goals. But this wasn't a game decided by the changed formation. It was one of those nights when, after Berkovitz's goal, nothing the Mustangs tried worked, and on the other end, the Beavers could do now wrong. Oregon State was absolutely incredible and deserved the win.

Tough way to end what looked like a very promising season but at least they got one post season win and it turned out to be a revenge game vs Denver. This looks like a program that will remain competitive in the ACC

Absolutely. It's safe to suggest that the ACC will do for SMU what the Pac-12 did for Oregon State: present a gauntlet of tough games, which could mean a less-than-gaudy record but fully prepares the team for the challenges that await in the postseason.

Really disappointing to lose the way SMU did to Oregon State, but that team was clearly peaking at the right moment. They’re in the semifinals. No shame in losing to them - they seemed like the better team, just wish it wouldn’t have been with such a lopsided score.

Armas got his 8th yellow card and was supposed to sit out quarterfinal game against UNC. He didn’t. So he sat out ND game and OSU coach was suspended 4 games. They lost 1-0 in semifinals.
