Meissner's 3rd round 2 over 73 drops him into a T-63rd with several players still on the course but not likely he will gain any ground. His 3rd round included 4 bogeys against 2 birdies, similar to his opening round.

A strong closing round of 4 under that included 6 birdies but unfortunately 2 late bogeys at #16 & #18 leaves Mac at minus 3 for the week, currently T-27th and in position to earn a decent check at the Valspar So far today, only 2 players have had better rounds than Mac did today. Nice finish!

Meissner continuing his grind in Houston this week and is off to a good start with a 2 under opening round, T-17th and 4 shots back. Still about $100k from reaching Top 125 status

Plus 5 2nd round means no weekend play and no check this week for Meissner

Mac will be teeing it up in San Antonio at the Valero Texas Open this week as the final shot for someone to get a Masters invitation. There are 20 players who were either born in Texas, are currently residing in Texas or played college golf at a school in Texas so this event definitely has a "Texas Open" feel to it.

Meissner's even par 1st round has him 9 shots behind the leader and right at the probable cut line at T-53rd with some players not finishing their rounds today

Mac finishes 1 over after a bogy on his 16th hole today and unless everyone on the course falls apart he will miss the cut this week

Still maybe 10 players who could knock Mac out if they finish their 2nd rounds strong but right now the cut line is 1 over meaning Mac gets to play tomorrow in hopes of improving his position

Mac snuck in under the cut line but today fired a 4 under 68 (one of the best rounds of the day with 4 birdies and no bogeys) and currently sits at minus 3 and T-15th. He is 10 shots off the lead but only 2 shots off a possible top 10 finish.

Meanwhile, Noah Goodwin, Austin Smotherman and Harry Higgs are out on the Korn Ferry Tour. They are playing in Savannah this week. Harry missed the cut at plus 6 but Noah is T-12th after 3 rounds at minus 7 (4 shots off the lead) and Austin is T-17th at 6 under

Noah is currently ranked #24 on the Korn Ferry while Austin is #49 and Harry #54

Mac's 3 under closing round that included 6 birdies got him to minus 6 for the week and good for a top 10 finish. Pretty nice "homecoming" week in San Antonio. That finish earns him $223k and he climbs to #116 on the money list, $50k ahead of spot #125
