In the 100 back, sophomore Jimena Leal placed second with her time of 53.55 — the Mustangs' fifth B-Cut of the night.

Platform Diving
Nicole Stambo reclaimed her title on platforms, last earned in 2022, with her score of 279.40. This is the graduate student's new personal best in the event. Senior Jaclynn Fowler scored 211.15 for sixth.

"Nicole dove great, it was a hell of a list," head diving coach Darian Schmidt said. "She executed great, really good on the bottoms [entries]. She just competed all night and went out with a bang. She didn't need much on the last dive but she twisted the knife there to make it fun."

"The girls came out swinging tonight and that's exactly what we're looking for," Quevedo said. "We have a couple more battles tomorrow morning and tomorrow night, we're going to be ready to go."
