I'm glad to see that I'm on the right track! :D

I just enjoy reading the responses that people give. I posted the same question on BaylorFans, and the responses were highly entertaining. Basically a bunch of boo-hoos about how Baylor Law treats its students like [deleted] and that their Practice Court program wasn't worth it unless you wanted to be a hardcore litigator, etc, etc.

I believe the tuition breakdown is around 28k-Baylor 31k-SMU.

Why would you want to go to Baylor for three more years? That's 3 years longer you'll have to be in Waco. I mean, sure they have a suspension bridge, but Laura Miller's made sure Dallas will get some Italian-designed bridges!

As a lawyer who practices outside of Texas, you hear about SMU law grads, but you don't hear much about Baylor law grads up here. In other words, SMU has a more national reputation. After about 10 years of practice, your law school becomes irrelevent. You rise and fall on your own talent initiative and intellegence. I was fortunate enough to get into a state school in Virginia with a solid reputation (William and Mary), which made it very easy for me to decide where I was going to go, because its tuition was about 1/4 of any private school's tuition.

I'll have the same problem in 4 years...If I get accepted to one of the law schools. First, I have to worry about getting accepted to Baylor or USM for undergrad.

actually I believe the Beaumont Port Arthur is known as the Plaintiff lawyers' favorite venue. Dallas County is known as extremely conservative on the amount of damages awarded.

Nope its USM. SMU is too expensive for me,but I change schools about every week. Right now the 3 are Baylor,Liberty,USM. I'm still gonna try SMU, but its probably too expensive.

Hmm...USM is out of state for you, no?

SMU gives lots of scholarships.

Oh come on...the addition 9k a year is definitely worth it to come to SMU and not have to live in Waco

It's more than 9K for me. My mom is a grant coordinator at BU so I get to go cheaper. USM is pretty much a back-up plan.
