So I've always wondered.... If you look at the front of Fondren Library, you'll see on each side of the front large inlets in the facade of the building. It looks to me that statues or something should go in them. Do any of you old-timers remember something in them, or perhaps know what they are there for?

Those are being reserved for life sized statutes of Copeland and Bennett. The twin pillars of SMU athletics.
