Made my first visit to Dallas Rodeo Goat today. Ordered the Chaca Oaxaca burger and cheese fries. After I took a bite of the burger I realized the meat was beyond well done. waitress explained he had to be cooked that way due to the chorizo. I guess the chorizo was inside the meat patty. Wish I had been for warned because I would not have ordered it. Cheese fries were ok. Overall, it was ok but I was not blown away

I've been getting the Hamburguesa when going to Digg's Tacos on Hillcrest - option of american, chedder or jack cheese - and just under the bun top they place two huge, freshly fried onion rings. Very good burger. And the skinny fries are pretty crispy & good, too, if that's how you like your fries.

Have never eaten there but I'm going to give that Hamburguesa a try. Went to Snuffer's last night for $5 "Cheeseburger Tuesday". Pretty dang good.

First trip to Digg's. Lunch on Friday. Total experience on a scale of 1-10: 9.5. Place was packed and I'd say 75% had on an SMU shirt of some sort. Young 20 somethings in the majority. Burger was exceptional. Efficient staff taking and delivering orders. If Digg's would use a Dutch's (TCU) bun, the burger would be perfect (and rate a 10). Great fries. Tacos and other items all looked good. I've put Digg's on my list.

Re: Prego's. Still has a very loyal SMU clientele. On Friday night its full of SMU families of every.generation. Best crab claws in Dallas. Aside from their hamburger they serve the best chicken fried steak in Dallas. The lunch chicken fried is done with veal and less than $8.00. At dinner its a popular off the menu item, serves two made with a fresh tenderized rib eye at about $30.00. The cream gravy is made from real heavy cream. As popular as it is the Italian dishes are only so-so.

If you haven't tried Walk On's Bistreaux & Bar, head over to 635 and Beltline. Two LSU basketball walk ons opened the original in the shadows of LSU Tiger Stadium. This is their only location in Texas. "Game Day with a taste of Louisiana". (Huge action shot of ED on wall along with some other SWC greats.)

Had no idea that Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. even had a burger, but since I was there ...

It is outstanding. By the name of the place, you can assume there's a ton of cheese, and you'd be right — three kinds. The meat is really flavorful, too. If there's a complaint, it would be that the burger-to-bun ration is way off, but overall, the burger is fantastic. Highly recommend.
