I am surprised no one has posted about Harvey B's, a hole in the wall burger spot in East Dallas at 4506 Columbia. I found it one day while riding the bike trail from White Rock Lake down to Deep Ellum. Great greaseburgers that are big enough to share. As Joe Bob Briggs would say, 4 stars, check it out!

Thank you. Just looked it up. Birthday’s on Tuesday. I know where we’re going to get food. Probably take it to the park to eat it.

Thanks for the heads-up — got to try it!

If you were considering Dugg Burger ... don't. Interesting concept (hollow out the top of the bun to stuff it with toppings), but the meat is school cafeteria-at-best quality. A friend took me there, only to discover that they "didn't get the channel" with the NCAA tournament (although they managed to have the Food Network, an MMA fight and some stupid-looking drama on Fox) ... and they closed at 8 on a Friday.

Not inedible, but won't be going back.

I'm guessing the 5th ingredient might be corn starch bringing salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder all together. Admittedly, it's been years since I had a Burger House burger &n fries but this report made my mouth water.

Yeah, I’m almost certain there’s corn starch in there. I also taste a little cumin. We always have a bottle of Burger House seasoning in our spice cabinet.

If we are going national, before the pandemic caused them to close I really liked the burger I used to get at the Morgan Creek Grill in Isle of Palms, SC. They served a half pound angus burger topped with bacon, melted cheese and a couple of beer battered onion rings smothered in bbq sauce. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
