You gotta be kidding. The burger was above average, not amazing, but pretty good. Top 5? Nowhere close. And it is way, way, way overpriced. And we really should keep these posts in the burger wars thread - I'd hate to see nobody post in it, and it fade into obscurity.

The last listing I found in there was as follows:

With that in mind, here is the new official, binding and unquestionable burger rankings:

1. Uptown Bar & Grill
2. First & 10
3. Rose's
4. Snookie's
5. Fuddrucker's

Burger House didn't even get rated, nor should it.

No kidding. Burger House has gotten REALLY bad since the days when Mr. Koustabardis ran it. Mr. K made a good, decent burger.

Speaking of Rose's - I heard she died. Is that place still open? It doesn't look to be....but then again it never looked open.

Good question. I think when Rose died the place did too, but now that you have brought it up, I'm going to have to go see if that is true.

fuddruckers is disgusting

Jacks is definately top five - you can't have attended SMU and think otherwise.

Nobody has ever heard of Uptown grill -

Rose was the best burger ever - biggest dive = best burger.

You have to understand that the list above was put together by just one of the Burger War group (Whatasteve) and is not the official list. The official list was published earlier:

By PX (21 Oct 2002)..."Thanks to all our judges for participating, and with the votes now tallied, here are the combined Regular Season standings for the Burger War, using my own weighted average system, as follows:
A susprisingly strong first place- Snookies. Snooks had 2 #1 votes, and was in everybodies top-5.
Followed closely by- Uptown Bar and Grill. A single #1 vote, but 2 or 3 on everyone elses list.
Tied for third-Roses and the Tipperary Inn.
5th place and possibly our last contestant, Joe Willys.

If we want to extend to 6, Fuddruckers and First and Ten are tied at that spot. Campisis was next, followed by Earls. Snuffers, Two Rows, Jakes, and the Cheesecake Factory all tied, and Adairs brings up the tail. Chips, which did not place above 14th on anyones list but whatasteve, finished dead last in the composite rankings. "

By PerunaPunch (06 Feb 2004)... "But if you're going to make a special night on the town for a burger, I'd recommend sticking with our Burg Off finalists.

1. Snookie’s
2. Uptown Bar & Grill
3. Fudrucker's
4. Joe Willy's
5. Snuffers
6. First & 10
7. Adair’s Saloon
8. Cheesecake Factory
9. Earl's
10. Campisi's
11. Gazebo Burger
12. Jake's
13. Two Rows
14. Chips
15. Rose’s
16. Tipperary Inn (closed by an act of divine burger justice)"

Not sure what happen to the BurgOff results PerunaPunch was suppose to publish late 2002, but could not find that he ever did.

He actually last posted November 19, 2005 on the "Burger Wars revisited" thread. I think he only posts if it has something to do with food.
