Most current members don't think so. The word "fratty" is the ultimate adjective. As for the Machi's I assume they are out of serious trouble w/ SMU - nothing more has come out. They did have a brush with death last year after repeated violations kept them from taking a pledge class in '05.
They did pretty well this year (25 I think). It hurts every house if someone gets kicked off. I hope there is no more trouble.

Sorry. However, I do not think your analogy is very appropriate.

I think we are taking PC to a new level. As my daughter said, when she was 5, 'be dax'.
Frat, fraternity, not a big deal.

...man, I try to inject a little humor and everyone gets bent out of shape. Guess I'll leave that up to jtstang.

Way to get another thread deleted MM1965...
Just my two cents.

Speaking of Kappa's, I am told they are building a huge replacement for their house. Oh, to be an under-grad again.

There are certain words that people shouldn't say. I like funny jokes, but not jokes that insult all of us husbands and fathers.

That's the thing about humor, you actually have to say something funny....

The alumni advisor for my fraternity used to say that all the time. And he was a TCU grad. Of course, he is a registered sex offender now.

Frats are a big joke at SMU. Basically it's a giant pi$$ing contest between boys. Who has more money. Who got laid by who. Who can drink more. Fun is fun, but to even put rules to this "System" is a giant waste.

I am ignoring Spaz's greko-phobic rant.
BTW, anybody know when they are going to point the bulldozers in the Sigma Chi's direction? There is no reason for that house to exist where it does today. Oddly, it isn't in the master plan, but its gotta go sooner or later, don't you think?

The school wanted them to move when LXA and SAE did but sigma chi's housing corps wouldn't sell the house. It seems like there is still space next door to SAE for them to go, but you're absolutely right that they won't have long in that spot.
