I received an email from the Jesuit alumni office about the recent death of Mr. Pohl. Here is his obit from today's DMN:

Herbert Richter Pohl

POHL, HERBERT RICHTER, Born August 15, 1927 in Dallas, Passed away August 8, 2006. He was a devoted husband and father, loyal friend, and man of honor. Graduated from Sunset High School in 1945, where he was All-State Golf Team. Graduated with a BBA from SMU in 1945, where he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity and a member of the SMU Golf Team. His career included 13 years at Northwood CC and 20 years with Club Corporation of America, from which he retired as Vice-President of Operations. Honors included Lifetime Member of the Professional Golfers Association of America, Horton Smith Educational Award from the PGA, Staff Member of the National PGA Educational Program, and 2006 Dallas District Golf Association and North Texas PGA Scholorship Honoree. He was a member of the PGA, North Texas PGA, Club Managers Assn. of America, National Assn. or Accountants, SMU Mustang Club, Graham Ross Scholarship Program. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Suzanne, son Richard and wife Loretta, son Christopher, daughter Valerie, grandchildren Jason and wife Carri, Stephanie, Adam and wife Nicole, and Emily. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 11, 2006, at St. Rita's Catholic Church.
