Surprised SMU didn't buy it and just turn it into one giant fountain

Would help the area if they turned it into a large parking garage

Does that rule go back to the days of the Dinkey? West side of Hillcrest is "the other side of the tracks"?

Chuck Hixson was in the business page yesterday regarding building a new gateway project to the entrance of Deep Ellum with a very unique new design

I would be stunned if that rendering ever got built. Plopping an Uptown building into Deep Ellum is guaranteed heartache for a developer.

I had the same thought the uproar from Deep Ellum would make the uproar going on in Bishop Arts look like nothing

It is not really in deep ellum proper. Northwest corner of elm and good latimer on a lot that has been empty for awhile. It will be next to a big metal siding clad grainger distributor. Does that grainger building fit the vibe of deep ellum?

That's a little different than a huge office tower that will be visible for miles around.
