I seriously doubt there are a dozen schools in the world outside of US & Canada with endowments over $1.5 Billion, in other words, SMU is in the Top 80 in the world.

I though our endowment was around $1.5 billion before the 2d Century push which brought in an additional $1 billion. Though I looked up that initial figure several years back.

2 things: 1) The endowment took a hit in the last financial crisis (as did all investments) but is well above pre-financial crisis level. 2) most of that $1 bn capital campaign did not go to the endowment. It was heavily geared towards overhauling the university's facilities and campus.
