After two big wins over the weekend, SMU holds onto the #24 spot in the polls.

Haven't seen them play this year, but as a still undefeated team, I would think they would get a little more love in the coaches poll. Texas St. is moving up in the others receiving votes category.

Still better than lax power who has SMU at #33.

The league has traditionally not done well against top teams, thus the RPI is low. It would be interesting if SMU took on teams such as UC Santa Barbara or Stanford on the trip west or teams such as Georgia Tech or Florida St on trip back to the Southeast. Texas St., which is traditionally the Lone Star powerhouse got shelled by Florida St. this spring, thus the league's low RPI.

SMU has done that on previous trips. Wins against FSU and Cal Poly in program history.

14-2 over UNT yesterday for a 13-0 record.

SMU enters the LSA playoffs on Saturday as the #1 seed out of the north. The game against the #4 seed from the South,Texas, is at SMU (I'm assuming at Crum) and starts at 1:00pm.

Nice article about SMU Lacrosse in Lacrosse Magazine:

We also climbed to #21 in the MCLA coaches poll:

South of the Bush Library between the new dorms and Central Expressway and behind the shopping strip.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Well I might have told them almost right. I said on the east side of Moody. At least I sent them in the right direction.

Just tell them to stroll a little ways south of Moody. 8)
