Forbes University rankings

Postby redpony » Wed Aug 17, 2016 3:02 pm

Just saw this. Forbes ranking of over 600 schools. SMU was at 116. Not even in the top 15%. What has happened to the quality education we were supposedly known for? RGT- we know you don't care for athletics but backing away from being a top level university is hardly acceptable.

Ranked ahead of Tulane and everyone in TX other than Rice, UT, and Trinity (which is a joke).

Simmer down.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Forbes is the most ridiculous of rankings and everyone knows it. They are measuring "return on investment" which is highly subjective and their methodology favors small old po-dunk little private schools nobody has ever heard of - particularly on the east coast. For example UT is way down the list, and Baylor and TCU are buried down the list waaaaay below us.

Don't try to make something out of nothing. There are plenty of legitimate concerns without making up pretend ones.
