SMU-trained physicist who bolstered Big Bang theory dies at 84

James W. Cronin, a Southern Methodist University graduate who shared a Nobel Prize for explaining why the universe survived the Big Bang, died on Thursday in St. Paul, Minn. He was 84.

Always nice to think that SMU produced a homegrown Nobel Prize winning Physicist.
