When you categorize Turner as a leftist, you sort of lose all credibility. I am the biggest conservative out there, but you can't complain about fake news and then make sh*t up. They are just trying to fund raise off this.

Mo Mac is fine, and ultimately protects us from leftist Main quad BS. - Time to move on.

Is the reason for moving it "triggers" or is it to have a uniform central location? Be nice if the Administration got its propoganda lines straight. As one who worked 5 miles from the Pentagon and who could see and smell the burning jet fuel, and who had many friends who worked in that building. It was a horrible event. However, to forget it is to belittle the lives lost (including many Muslims by the way in NYC). The library of the President who had to deal with that crisis sits on our campus. I am not sure who would be upset about such a remembrance. When I was at SMU, it had moonies, Hari Krishnas and every other cult park themselves on the main Quad with the blessings of the administration for its religious tolerance. Now we ban flags of our own country. Shaking my head. :?:r

Nothing has been banned. But all of that has been relocated. It's all just a PR war, and SMU is losing.

moving it had ntohing to do with this event itself. I assume it and all other similar events because a different but similar event on dallas hall was offensive to students (pro life crosses...)

Ding ding ding.

And the conservative group on campus is doing this now because from a PR perspective "SMU hates 9/11 memorials" will garner more broad support than "SMU hates the pro-life/anti-abortion movement." And yes, those two demonstrations are hosted by different groups, but as a recent alum I can say for a fact that there are a lot of overlapping students in those two organizations.

Sure hope the Mustang's defense is better than that of Pres Turner and his stumbling administration.

Chris Salcedo (spelling?) On WBAP reporting 911 remembrance is back on at SMU. He is applauding someone for changing the policy and standing for America.
Good Publicity.

Not all the blame is on RGT. Some should be on the [deleted] students too.
