University of Tulsa: Question

Over the weekend I was in Tulsa for my wife's Grandfather's 93 Birthday. Great Man, great stories. He had a question about Geoffrey Orsak; and if I had ever heard about his appointment to be president of TU and why he was removed after only a couple months. I had to be honest that I didn't know that we had a former Dean of Engineering leave to be president. Is there anything further to this story? Thank you

I do not recall but it seems it was discussed on here and I do not think it was a very nice departure. But I am old and forgetful so will not say any more.

Highland Park ISD Names Dr. Geoffrey Orsak Executive Director of the Moody Innovation Institute

Highland Park school officials announced the appointment of Dr. Geoffrey Orsak as executive director of the Moody Innovation Institute.

The institute, which is currently in the design and planning phase, will focus on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education in HPISD. It will be funded by a $5.8 million grant that the Moody Foundation gave to the Highland Park Education Foundation in August 2016.

Orsak is the former Dean of the Lyle School of Engineering at SMU.
