I definitely remember that one. And the Ice House next door - complete hole - but very lax on the I.D. checking...
Ice House and Across the Street Bar were awesome, torn down around my sophomore year. Barley, those two bars, Milo's, Home Bar and Ozonas was a great little block of bars.

The Rhythm Room was on Dyer. Saw Blues Traveler there in '91 before they were commercial. Good times.
Yale Blvd. had Icehouse, Across the Street Bar, and of course, the Green Elephant.
Good ole days, for sure!

Huge opportunity for tax revenue and another government run (or at least heavily regulated) business
Do it the same way Utah does liquor stores and have the state control/own the cannabis shops. Instafix for roads, schools, infrastructure.

Are Home Bar Thursdays still a thing?
The great thing about them was you saw everyone you know. The worst thing about them was you saw everyone you know and wanted to avoid.
Ahhhhhhhh.... Good times.

Good ole days was at the Stables and its private club, called the Stalls; almost at the NW corner of Yale and Greenville, Aves. Owner had been a SMU swimmer.

Popsicle Toes turned into Rhythm Room. So Dyer. I played for a men's soccer team called Cardinal Puffs when I was in high school. Bunch of SMU players but I can't remember if we were actually sponsored by them or just used the name. We definitely used their logo. We probably played against Bill.

Cardinal Puffs closed by my sophomore year in '92 or so. I always wanted to go there.
