TCU has lowest posted endowment increase in 2017

Postby deucetz » Thu Jan 25, 2018 2:05 pm

According to Thursday’s report, the market value for Harvard’s endowment rose 4.3% to $36 billion, the second-lowest percentage increase of any of the 100 largest schools. (Texas Christian University, with a $1.52 billion endowment, posted a market value gain of just 0.4%.)

Majority of endowments increased 12.2%. I wonder if TCU will beat :|

Still a solid #68 and closed the gap with TCU by $125M. Now just $6M away from overtaking the Frogs. Created $14M or so gap with Bowdoin.

Weren't the Ponies in the last year of an endowment campaign or was that over before last year?

Someone should do the math on endowment per undergrad student. That is really what matters.

I had a break down of 6550 smu undergrads and 9000 tcu undergrads (rounded for both). About $230,000 / undergrad for smu and $170,000 per tcu undergrad. Not to mention smu is $12,000 more a year so hope smu students come out better than that.
