SMU at #32 and sits as the highest ranked AAC program, with Football, Men's Soccer, and Women's Volleyball providing our points.
Someone on a Big 12 site was yapping about all the Big 12 hoops schools ranked in the Top 25 and thus the Big 12 is by far the best conference, overall, in all sports, period. FIVE Big 12 schools are in the Learfield Top 35....TEN ACC schools are in the Top 35. SMU ahead of Nebraska, Memphis, Ole Miss, A$M, Kentucky, MIZZOU, Ohio St., LSU, KU, Baylor, Auburn, TCU(#117), and Purdue, to name a few.

#32 on a list of 250 is impressive, PP. The fact that our overall athletic performance is superior at this point to quite a few traditional powers is encouraging and something to be proud of…you should educate yourself and study the data, instead of chirping some tired tag line from 25 years ago.

I have always valued the role of the Director's Cup when it highlights the performance of a university's understanding and contributions to the importance of athletics in an educational environment. It is also no surprise that non-revenue sports for men and women often reveal high graduation rates and GPAs.

BTW, two of new conference mates, Cal and Stanford, value the importance of sports and are annually ranked at top of the Director Cup results.
