This is only a guess on my part, but I took that to mean traveling with the national team would have caused him to miss too much of the school year.
Re: YanickPretty sure Its a reference to him being selected last year, but opted against to stay around Dallas, work on school, play w/the fellas, and get qualified.

Ah, thanks. After I read it about 3 times, that's sort of what I was getting out of it. Hope he's bulking up a little, too.
