Solid job by Janks and the team when UConn closed to within 5-6 points in the second half to regain control of the game.
Once again our poor free throw shooting almost cost us-gotta get better.
We're 74% from the line in conference play according to Clark Kellogg. The Bens didn't help us today, but we can't really be considered a poor free throw shooting team on the whole. We just remember the misses more.

We would have smoked their assets - getting into foul trouble messed up the Mojo and rhythm. Any smart coach in the future we'll try to play on that.
Great Team SMU pride.

Question for y'all - would you rather get #1 seed and play temple (8/9), then uconn (or ucf) or get #2 and play Tulsa then Houston/Memphis. Personally, I'd rather get #1 seed and avoid Houston.

Houston is by all measures the clear third-best team in the conference, so yeah. Playing Connecticut in Hartford doesn't really scare me anymore.

Co-sign. I would much rather play UConn. If Memphis wins today we will likely get the 1, but if they lose unless Cincy falls we will likely get the 2.

I have mixed feelings. As long as we are at least regular season Co-Champions, would it be so bad to win one in the tournament and then lose giving us some time to rest? Never like to put losing in the mind but a hard fought tournament could hurt us for the ultimate goal.

The higher seed will always be worth more than the rest.

agreed. We'll have at least 3 full days of rest after winning AAC.

Then let's do it. I actually thought the turn around was a little quicker.

I think Houston has the better match-ups and personnel to beat us.
But UCONN DOES HAVE VANCE!!

They showed him on the CBS broadcast late in the game. Great to see he still supports our team!
