Pretty standard stuff...they asked him about Courtland Sutton, talked about being 2-0, asked about the upcoming matchup with TCU, asked about recruiting at SMU, etc. They also asked him why Texas teams are down (Baylor, Texas, and A&M) and he dodged that one. At the end they asked him what his recruiting pitch is for SMU and he said something like "we're 2-0, trending up, opportunity to be a part of building something special".

I've always thought Arkansas was the logical destination for Chad. They have to recruit Texas to be any good. Chad can certainly bring that - especially DFW and ETX . Bielema is a good coach but isn't making any progress. Once his buyout becomes manageable (2019?) I can see them going after Chad. By then Chad will have 2 8+ win seasons under his belt.

I don't see A&M going after Chad.... recruiting isn't their problem... they need a pro coach to give them a chance to compete in the SEC West.

Jeff Long I still very high on Bielima. I do not think he is at risk of being let go this year. Next year his seat will be hot if he does not turn it around. All of this may change if he loses to A&M. Has lost 3 straight years and would be in trouble losing even had they beaten TCU. But he does still have a large buyout.

This morning Houston Nutt was on a local call in show explaining what Coach B needed to do to win. Nutt recited the entire fight song and related how B needed to listen to the words and get the team on track. Of course that had many callers asking for Nutt to be rehired.

I disagree. The power spread run by Morris is very different from the Air Raid run by the Raiders. It would be another rebuild. His next job will be better than Tech.

Chad will not go to Texas Tech! He gave them salary demands for AC & DCs that TT would not commit to when he interviewed last time. I agree his next job will be better. He is a much better Coach in Texas than somewhere else in the Country due to his Texas roots. But I do agree that Arkansas would still allow him to recruit here. Probably could get a 4Star from Texas to Arkansas easier than a 3 to SMU. With UT out of the equation, and I don't see him revisiting Baylor or Texas Tech, I believe he sits tight. We ALL know he would jump at A&M but the more I study it I really believe A&M will hire a more proven Track record! I don't see him going way off at least till Chandler is done. Remember by flirting with Baylor he got a better Contract. That's all that was about!!

Interesting facts on Bielema’s contract have come out. His buyout, thought to be $15 million now and $11 million after January 1, is significantly less. Those figures are the original “base” figures and the amount lowers every month he coaches. Like a forgivable loan. His actual buyout after January is closer to $5-6 million.
